State by State- an ongoing challenge |
In fact, if you don't want to wait until 2014 and want to get a start now, go right ahead.
You can also regard it as an ongoing challenge to be completed when and if you can.
Write a post on your own blog about joining the challenge and link it to this blog.
Feel free to use the logo to the right in your post.
Then introduce yourself in the comments on this post.
When you have read and written a blog post about your first book, come back here, and look for the name of the state in the right hand bar. Click on that link, follow the instructions on that page.
If you want to add a map on your blog then check the tool at World66.

actually, this challenge already exists, hosted by Book Journey: http://bookjourney.wordpress.com/2012/11/30/2013-where-are-you-reading-challenge-sign-up/
I started it myself in 2013, but as I am finishing a reading challenge covering 52 countries of the world, I plan to finish the US states one in 2014.
I'm at 8/50 so far: http://wordsandpeace.com/2012/12/04/reading-the-states-2013-reading-challenge/
Sheila, as you can tell, I was not aware of the existence of your challenge/meme. This despite the fact that in both 2012 and 2013 I searched for a USA book reading challenge to join. I guess there is room for both in the blogging/reviewing world.
Since I'm late for 2013 challenges, I've been looking for one for 2014 and I'm glad you started this challenge early so I can join.
Already created my starter page and added it to your link above - I hope it got through.
Welcome Marika - excellent start
This is the third one and yes there is room for all three. I'll even join all three but I'll overlap the fiction books. Sheila started her's because she couldn't find one to join (sound familiar?).
I am already looking for challenges for 2014. I am excited!! I can start this one right away!! Thanks!!
I'm in! I started a similar challenge last year but kept forgetting to keep track of the wheres in my books. Can't wait to dig in again!
I'm in!
All or nothing, I'm going for all fifty states beginning with New York!
I'm so excited about this challenge. It has been on my bucket list to read and visit every state. Thanks for hosting! I have added you to my blog. :)
Finished!! Yea! Great Challenge
Well done. Have you entered all your books on each page?
Just went through all my semi-recent reading and reviewing to see where I stood. Perhaps surprisingly, 36 states (35 plus DC) covered, 15 to go... not too bad. And I've researched and selected a good crime novel for each of those remaining 15 states now, see: http://kiwicrime.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/usa-crime-fiction-challenge-36-states.html
